Willie Frank "Red" Sanders was born on July 15, 1943, to the late Fletcher and Frances Sanders.  Willie transitioned from this world on July 2, 2026, at the age of 82.

He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved to Dayton, Ohio, in the early 1980's. Prior to moving to Dayton, he worked in the bakery and confectionery industry in Detroit, Michigan, for many years. After relocating to Dayton, he worked at Emery Worldwide, Sinclair Community College, BP gas station on Wilmington Pike, and Advanced Assembly Automation, where he retired. Willie was known for his strong work ethic, often working two jobs at a time.

He loved spending time with his family, shooting pool, play cornhole, Pokeno, listening to his down-home blues music, and giving money to the children - whether, just because, or to celebrate a special occasion.

In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lewis-Sanders; his brothers, Fletcher (Delores) Sanders Jr; (Doddie) and Abe Sanders; brother-in-law, Eugene Curtiss; his sisters, Julia Sanders, Frances Shepherd, and Gladys Zachary; his grandson, Andre Carpenter, and his bonus son, Randy Thornton.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved daughters, Shaunte (Stephen) Blackshear, Charletta Howard, and Rozlyn Curry; his sons, Brian (Dorothea) Foster and Ryan (Candice) McCullum; his granddaughters, Harmani Shyanne Blackshear, Maryanne, Shantell Foster, and London McCullum; his grandsons, Dennis Jones, Montrey Foster, Brian Foster II, and Collin Harris; his great-grandson, Kylon Cotton; his brother, Dwayne (Kim) Sanders; his sisters, Spring Curtiss and Rosemarie (Darrell) Slaughter; his uncle, Tom (Helen) Patterson; his special nephew, Rhue (Phetheria) Zackary; his special cousin, Curtis (Darlene) Flanigan; his special friends, Quina' Lawrence and Raymond Ward; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus sons and daughters, and friends.

Known by many names - including Red, Red Dog, Dad, Uncle Red, Willie, and Willie Frank.  He touched countless lives with his generosity, warmth, and love for family. Though he may be gone, he will never be forgotten.
